Cedar Strip.
Decided to purchase a two handed striper rather than to continue with a chisel. Paid £5.54p for a four blade striper with free delivery. Result. Stripped the whole hull of the canoe in an hour and a half.
While stripping I came across a brass plaque showing the maker of the boat, a very exciting moment as I chipped away the thick varnish and the lettering appeared……French a canoe made in France…..
Well it does not take me long to find out more about this French canoe
Now I have to sand her down but first the hard bit is to scrap the inside.
