As we are now blessed with a monsoon season, which seems to last longer ever year there is a need to protect the canoe long term. I have been using plastic which is OK but it soon becomes brittle and is very easy to snag.

So I needed to find a long term solution to keep the canoe from the elements not only while I am working on the restoration but also for the years to come. I search the internet for canoe covers and general boat covers. Having looked at the various options none I thought would quite fit the bill. So I decided that the best thing to do is to have the cover made.

I came across a company called Hutchinson Hire who deals mainly in Bouncy Castles but they also make bespoke covers out of the same PVC used for bouncy castles.

Gave them the measurements to which they sent a drawing, two days later it arrived.

Job done
