Paddles

With the canoe came two paddles. They were black with thick varnish and splits on the blades and metal plates nailed to the bottom edge. For one reason or another I have not been able to get out in to the garden and scrape the canoe so over the last couple of weeks I’ve been slowly stripping down the paddles instead.

Well they are now stripped and had two coats of Le Tonkinois varnish.

One is ash the other I am not sure it could be cherry

They are not quite finished as they need a few more coats of varnish, but I think looking good
